MARACam-1

Simple UAV photo camera, based on Xiaomi YI action camera has a 16MP SONY sensor.

We made a huge list of improvements to make a high quality camera for UAV.

Depends on modification, could shoot  RGB ,NirGB or RGNir spectral images.

We made special MARA-drones camera control PCB with external 5V power in (camera has no battery inside), AV output, logic level relay ON\OFF and shoot pins allow You to easily control it from drone autopilot.

Special companion computer software helps to geotag images in fast and easy way.

Camera can shoot JPG (from 1 image per second) with fine tuning via control script.

It allow You to make a high quolity ortophotomosaic with GSD from 2.5cm.

This camera is best choice to use with “MARA” and “MARA-2k” UAV’s.

RGB lens sensitivity
This lens is recommended to analyze crops in early to mid growth stages, when vegetation is sparse and soil is visible through the canopy. It is useful to inspect:

  • tree crowns;
  • standing water;
  • soil;
  • early to mid growth stage crops.

Collected data could be used to calculate:

  • normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI);
  • green difference vegetation index (GDVI);
  • green normalized difference vegetation Index (GNDVI);
  • green soil adjusted vegetation index (GSAVI) and others.

NDVI-7 lens sensitivity

 Analyze crops in mid to late growth stages.  It is useful for assessing the canopy variation in biomass, and is an indicator of senescence in case of stress or late maturity stage. It also helps to study weed pressure (to identifi the non-crops or unwanted plants). The vegetation index ENDVI can be calculated.ENDVI-5 (Blue – Green – Near IR) lens

ENDVI-5 lens sensitivity

Analysis of crops in early to mid growth stages, in areas with relatively sparse vegetation where soil is visible through the canopy. Allow to calculate:

  • chlorophyll vegetation index(CVI);
  • normalized green (NG) index;
  • normalized near infrared (NNIR) index;
  • normalised red (NR) index;
  • triangular vegetation index (TVI) and others.

Fully Plug&Fly camera allow You to make a RGB images for ortophotomosaic and mapping.

Our companion computer has a full support of this 18MP , 10-x zoom camera and allow You to set image resolution, shutter mode, automaticly add geotags to the thrumbnail images (1440 x 1080 px) and generate log file for geotagging of 18MP images from memory card.

We recomend this camera to use on a “MARA” and “MARA-2k” UAV’s, and as a gimballed photocamera on a “Morana” UAV.
